Based in New Orleans, Sweet Pea's Revenge is a blues/rock/funk band that has entertained crowds all over the South for five years. In that time, they've also released three CDs, including the live disc Rollin' with the Pea, which was recorded in June 2001 at Ruby's Roadhouse in the Big Easy.

Lead singer Jim Brown's voice sounds like Jim Morrison, The Animals and Dave Alvin which suits the '70s style down 'n' dirty rock. The best part of Rollin' is John Gros' performance on piano and organ. The soulful sound takes the basic rock to another level.

Barley's may trade in it's mountain lodge atmosphere for that of a smoky roadhouse when Sweet Pea's Revenge comes to call on Feb. 7.
